Bert Kammerer

Years Flying: Bert has been involved in R/C for over 25 years and helicopters for about 5.

Bert is sponsored by many well reputable companies in the industry and works as a consultant for some of them, he attends over 20 r/c helicopter events per year, including fun flies as well as competitions. He has performed demonstrations at various helicopter shows and events around the country, including IRCHA 2006, 2007, and 2008 and has placed in the top 10 at the XFC (Extreme Flight Championships), 4th place at the 2007 World Micro Heli Cup in Chicago, 2nd place at the 2008 Align Cup and Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada and 1st place at the XFC team competition in 2008 and 2009.

Age: 15

Years Flying: I started flying planes at age 7, then slowly transitioned to helicopters, then got serious with 3D helicopters at age 13.

What got me started: My Dad's hobby has always been R/C models, and I kinda just grew up around it.

What got me started into 3D helicopters: I saw Alan Szabo fly at our local fun fly in 2007, and that made me want to excel with 3D flying.

Pilots I look up to: Anybody who is better than me ;)

Jan Matros

Jan Matros has been in the RC community since the age of 10. About 5 years ago his interest turned from RC Cars to Helicopters. Even though Jan began with Nitro machines, today his machine of choice is electric. He favors the Mikado line of helicopters and has been a field rep for them for over a year. Jan took 1st place in the intermediate class at the Las Vegas Competition 2009.
